The American edition of the National Interest has published material about the Russian T-14 Armata tank. The authors stated that it outperforms foreign competitors. The machine will be able to start the engine even on Mars at low temperatures.
The translation of the material was provided by Radio Sputnik. American experts noted that "Armata" is capable of starting at extreme cold temperatures down to minus 50 degrees Celsius. American competitors cannot do this.
Experts mentioned Mars because on this planet the average temperature is -63 degrees Celsius, but it can also take values of -50 degrees.
The National Interest noted that engine manufacturers for M1 Abrams tanks are not even talking about the possibility of starting at such low temperatures.
