Zenfone is a series of flagship smartphones from Asus that are “almost like a ROG Phone”, but are not marketed for gamers. Although, given the power of the Zenfone 7 Pro, it can be used for gaming too. Well, or for video blogging.
Appearance
Zenfone 7 Pro continues the ideas of Zenfone 6 with a fold-out selfie camera: the platform with the main camera modules rotates 180 degrees. This gives Asus reason to claim that they have the best selfie camera, although this is debatable.
Perhaps because of this swivel mechanism, or perhaps for some other reason, but the smartphone turned out to be bulky. It is not only big, but also heavy, and you need to get used to it. Although for people who love large screens, this won't be a problem.
By the way, the set includes a branded plastic transparent case. Yes, it is plastic, it almost does not bend.
Since there is no separate selfie camera here, there are no cutouts, eyebrows, and other nonsense on the screen, only the “chin” below that is typical for Android smartphones, which does not interfere.
For some reason, Asus did not embed the fingerprint scanner into the screen itself, and built it into the side button. Personally, I like it more about the screen, especially since in the button it works no faster than these subscreens.
There is no 3.5mm jack, but USB-C is there. However, judging by the data transfer rate, there is only USB 2.0.
But the SIM card slot here is “all the money” - you can put both two nano-SIM and a memory card (in addition to 256 GB of internal memory). You rarely find such luxury in flagships, usually it is more typical for state employees. But thanks to the manufacturer for this - at least all these dimensions are not wasted.
