Apple will not force updates to iOS 15: iPhone users with iOS 14 and beyond will receive security patches

A day after the announcement of iOS 15 at WWDC , interesting information appeared on the network related to the new software version.

What is it about

The fact is that with the release of iOS 15, Apple will slightly soften its policy of updating its devices. To receive the latest security patches, it will not be necessary to update to iOS 15. Users can continue to use the iPhone with iOS 14 and still have the latest patches.

iOS now offers a choice between two versions of the software update in the Settings app. You can upgrade to iOS 15 as soon as it comes out to take advantage of the latest features and a more complete security suite. Or, continue using iOS 14 and continue to receive important security updates until you're ready to upgrade to the next major version. - says the blog of the company.

Recall that iOS 15 has received many small but useful changes. For example, an updated  FaceTime , new notifications, Live Text  for the camera (similar to Google Lens), the ability to add keys to your home, work and hotel in Wallet, the new Weather app, and much more.
