Fitbit changes Sense smartwatch for free due to ECG problems

 

In  late August, the company Fitbit introduced its first " smart " watch with  ECG function - Fitbit Sense .  It was announced during  the official announcement, but was  added a few months ago. And  after that something went  wrong.

What happened

According  to Fitbit,  some Sense owners have a   hardware issue  that affects  ECG functionality. As a  result, these users are offered a free device replacement.

" We  found a problem in  a very limited number of our original supply the Fitbit Sense - several hundreds of devices around the world due to which the ECG application can by default show " inconclusive " result of reading time. We are able to identify the affected devices during setup and will contact these users immediately to provide them with a replacement device free of charge No other Fitbit devices are not affected, and this issue does not affect the future supply of Sense devices " ,               - explained in the  company.

Users of the problem watch started receiving the following messages:

 We have  identified a  hardware problem with your device that may affect  its performance. To ensure the best possible Fitbit experience, we  provide you with a replacement free of charge. Keep all original accessories such as charging cable and  bracelet. You  will only receive a  replacement device "

Recall that the cost of Fitbit Sense is rather big - $ 329.
