ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe Review: Compact Gaming Keyboard with ASUS Mechanical Switches

The ASUS ROG STRIX Scope TKL Deluxe is a good mechanical gaming keyboard that doesn't have any major drawbacks when viewed solely as a gaming tool. It has everything you need: durable and convenient ASUS ROG NX Red switches, a durable and reliable design with a metal plate, a removable wrist rest, RGB lighting, on-the-fly customization and a detachable cable that is easy to replace if needed. Perhaps, the keyboard will not be the best choice if you use it for typing large amounts of text: linear switches require quite a long getting used to, and an additional numeric block will obviously not be superfluous. The keyboard will go on sale in the third quarter of the year, there is no more precise date. The cost can be expected somewhere around $ 150 (or Euro).

ASUS maintains a consistently recognizable style across its ROG gaming keyboards, so the design of the ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe looks familiar. Uses a skeleton construction  , the switches are installed right at the base of the keyboard, without any additional cover. In this case, the base is made of a dark gray sheet of metal with a matte finish and a diagonal decorative texture on the right side. Keycaps (caps) are made of the usual matte black plastic. The front end of the keyboard is bent down, on the left side there is the inscription Republic of Gamers. There is a decorative backlight across the entire width of the bottom, which can be seen if you use the keyboard without the complete wrist rest.

The complete wrist rest does not have a rigid attachment to the keyboard, only magnets. But it absolutely does not slide on the table, so this is quite enough for use. The upper part of the stand is upholstered in artificial leather, inside  - a soft filling

In addition to the additional digital pad, separate Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause buttons have been removed in ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe. In their place, in the upper right corner of the keyboard is an illuminated ROG logo. And  Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause were combined with  Del, End and Page Down through the Fn button. A standard set of indicators is installed between the block of arrows and Del, End and Page Down :
