We are talking about those messages under the videos that could offend the person to whom they are addressed, reports The Verge. According to YouTube representatives, they would like to give users the opportunity to think before posting a comment.
Of course, such an approach is unlikely to be able to completely clear the platform of negative communication under the video. But a certain percentage reduction in toxicity can still be expected.
The only question is how YouTube algorithms work in languages other than English. Will the company be able to implement such functionality in Russian? And if so, how soon can we expect its implementation? The company has not yet provided an answer to these questions.
