OnePlus is working with Google to improve Wear OS

umors recently appeared on the network that the first OnePlus smartwatch will run on the proprietary OS , but, as it turned out, this is not the case.

What is known

The information was denied by the CEO of OnePlus Pete Lau (Pete Lau). He gave an interview to Input, in which he said that the novelty will receive the Wear OS platform. The CEO added that OnePlus engineers are working closely with Google to improve the system's performance and interaction with Android smartphones and Android TVs. Unfortunately, Lau did not reveal any characteristics of the watch.

Recall, if the leaks are to be believed, OnePlus Watch will have a  round OLED display, a Qualcomm chip, and 512MB or 1GB of RAM. There is no information on the date of the announcement of the watch yet, but it can be assumed that it will be presented along with the OnePlus 9  in the first half of  2021 .
