A hacker from the Google Project Zero team has found a way to hack an iPhone remotely. A Wi-Fi adapter and a Raspberry Pi are enough for an attack.
To carry out such a hack, you will need $ 100. Thanks to the method, you can get full control over your smartphone. The hacker demonstrated how he breaks into 26 iPhones using one broadcast channel. In this case, smartphones do not even need to be connected to the network. An attacker could steal confidential data from any device in the Wi-Fi hotspot. That is, the criminal could see all the photos, read all the correspondence, etc.
Fortunately, Apple has already closed the CVE-2020-3843 vulnerability discovered by the hacker. I did it back in May with the release of iOS 13.5. It is claimed that the vulnerability was not exploited by attackers.
