Asus Chromebox 4 expected on 2021

The Asus Chromebox is something of a niche product in the eyes of many, but in reality, can be used by most for their daily needs. It’s a physically small box that runs ChromeOS, will handle a heap of daily tasks without issue, can install Android Apps and is very capable as a productivity tool. The new release of the Chromebox 4 offers generational growth in capabilities that is genuinely exciting.

As with previous iterations of the Chromebox, there are multiple models with varying specs available. The highlight reel for the range includes:

  • The latest (10th Generation) Intel® processors
  • Up to 16 GB DDR4 memory
  • Up to 256 GB of M.2 SSD storage
  • Support for up to three displays in 4K UHD
  • Intel® UHD Graphics, 2 HDMI ports and a USB-C® 3.2
  • Wi-Fi 6 Connectivity as well as Ethernet
  • Auto-updates to ChromeOS in order to maintain security and ensure uninterrupted operation

While it (on the surface) appears to be an evolution of last years model, the Chromebox 3, the Chromebox 4 looks to be a fairly significant step forward in capability of the platform.

We will be in contact with Asus to stay on top of when the Chromebox 4 lands in Australia and the pricing (not yet available) that we will see when it does.
